GENERATION AGGIE

Generation Aggie is the only student-led video podcast, produced by STREAM, where current UC Davis students interview alumni and talk about their shared experiences as an Aggie.

This project consisted of developing the creative visual design while adhering to UC Davis’ brand guidelines and editing the episodes for Season 1 over the course of around six months. After many hours editing each of the 5 episodes in Season 1 and waiting for approval, the first episode of the podcast series was published on January 26, 2022. The entire process has taught me that given the opportunity, pushing the boundaries and exercising my creativity reaps benefits. I could not be more grateful and proud of every person involved in making Generation Aggie possible.

 

The logo and branding can also be scaled down and remains legible at any given size—an important factor in logo design.

The logo for Generation Aggie includes the linked ‘g’ and ‘a’ to symbolize the generations of Aggies that remain connected during their time at UC Davis as well as an homage to the STREAM wave logo, as this series was produced by STREAM.

The colors chosen were from the STREAM color palette, using Tahoe Blue and Aggie Gold (light) as the primary colors. I wanted to incorporate Sage Green into the color mix, as it wasn’t being utilized as much and created a natural mix between the blue and yellow.
